Sound Familiar

If you answer yes to any of these, this is for you.

Never enough time.

You are struggling to find time to achieve the things you actually want to do, and the list of them keeps getting longer rather than shorter.

Too much on your plate.

Everything routes through you. You feel unsupported in the one role in the business that nobody else can do, and there is no obvious person to hand any of it to.

Nobody to think it through with.

You would value a group of people to test new ideas and awkward problems against. Not staff, not family, and not someone selling you something.

The Day

What actually happens.

Pre-work, before you arrive

We send you work to complete beforehand so you turn up knowing what you want to address, and we turn up having prepared for it.

Morning, the thinking

Your mindset as a leader. The planning hierarchy and how the pieces fit. Then making a better plan: where you are, where you want to be, and the honest gap between.

Afternoon, the plan

You build your ninety day action plan. Three SMART goals, the milestones under each one, priorities, and a date against every step.

Then you get chased

A follow up call at forty five days and a performance review at ninety. You committed to the plan in a room full of people, and somebody rings.

Morning tea and lunch are provided. It runs 8.15am to 2.30pm, so it is a full day out of the business. That is the point of it, and it is the part people find hardest to agree to.

Who Runs It

Facilitating this is a separate skill, and we went and learned it.

Preparing a tax return and running a room of twenty business owners through a planning day are not the same job, and being good at the first does not make anyone good at the second. So we did not assume it would.

This is led by Celeste Peirce, our Business Growth Strategist. It is her actual role, not a service the tax team runs on the side. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, has a background in leadership and team development, and has written and delivered training and workshops in house and externally to both small and large groups.

The programme itself is a structured methodology rather than a slide deck someone wrote the night before. Defined pre-work, a set agenda for each workshop, a documented follow up at forty five days and a review at ninety. We invested in the training and the system to deliver it properly.

What you get on top of that, and it is genuinely rare, is a facilitator working alongside people who already hold your numbers. Most business coaches have to take your word for the financials. We do not.

It Keeps Going

One day is a good start, not a plan.

Workshop one: making a better plan.

The foundations. Your mindset as the person in charge, how the planning pieces actually fit together, and your first ninety day action plan built in the room before you leave.

Workshop two: seven ways to grow.

The seven levers that move revenue: what each one is, the tactics behind it, and a worked example. Then your own growth plan. Where your focus goes, what is realistic, and how you will measure it. Then you update the ninety day plan.

Then quarterly, as long as it is useful.

Each subsequent workshop takes a new topic and rebuilds the ninety day plan against it. Systemising, cashflow, managing change, team performance, structure.

The group is the other half.

Up to twenty owners, none competing with each other. The format exists so you can learn in a supportive room rather than alone, and test an idea on people running businesses of their own.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

How long is it and what does the day look like?

Six hours. Tea and coffee from 8.15am, we start at 8.30am, morning tea and lunch are provided, and it finishes at 2.30pm. There is pre-work to complete beforehand, which is short but worth doing properly because it decides how useful your day is.

Is it one on one or a group?

A group, and deliberately so. Up to twenty business owners, none of whom compete with each other. If you want a private session instead, that is a different service and we also do it.

Will there be competitors in the room?

No. We check before confirming a place. The whole thing depends on people being willing to say what is actually going wrong in their business, and nobody does that in front of a competitor.

What does it cost?

Two ways, and you choose. Either an hourly rate based on the time the work takes, or a fixed price agreement covering the year and payable monthly, so you can budget for it. We agree the price in writing before we start, and if anything comes up during the year that falls outside it we raise it with you first rather than after.

What if I already have a business plan?

Bring it. Most of the ones we see were written for a bank or a landlord and have not been opened since. That is not a criticism, it is what happens when a plan is written for someone else.

What happens first?

A fifteen minute discovery call. A few questions beforehand so we can look at where the business is before we talk, then a short conversation about whether this is the right thing for you right now. There is no obligation and no pitch at the end of it.
