Get your Albury tax return done by someone who explains it
Pick a person, pick a time, done. Twenty minutes for a straightforward return, an hour if you have rentals or a side business.

Book your tax return
Two of us do individual returns. Clayton sees people at the Olive Street office in Albury. Mish works online, which suits you if you are in Wodonga, out of town, or would rather do it from the kitchen table on a weeknight.
Twenty minutes covers a standard return: wages, bank interest, work deductions, private health. Take the hour if you have a rental property, shares, crypto, a side business or a capital gain, because those are the ones where the questions matter.
Not sure which length you need? Take the twenty. If it turns out to be bigger than that we will tell you at the time, and we will not charge you for the longer slot you did not book.
Will anyone actually explain it, or just hand me a number?
It is the question people ask most often, usually after years of signing something they did not follow. Here is a customer answering it rather than us.
Been going to this firm for my personal tax stuff for a while now and I’ve got no complaints. Mish is great, actually explains things properly when I’ve got questions instead of just brushing me off.
What to bring
Most of it comes through from the ATO automatically now, so the list is shorter than it used to be. What we cannot see is the part that gets you the deduction.
- Work expenses you paid for yourself. Tools, boots, courses, a phone bill, a home office. Receipts if you have them, your best honest estimate if you do not.
- Your logbook or your kilometres, if you use the car for work.
- Rental property paperwork. Agent statement, loan interest, rates, insurance, and anything you spent on repairs.
- Anything you sold. Shares, crypto, a second property. Bring what you paid for it, not just what you sold it for.
- Private health statement, if you have cover.
Missing a receipt does not mean you cannot claim. It means we have to be able to show how you worked the number out. Come in with the gap rather than quietly dropping the claim.
What happens next
You book a time
Twenty minutes or an hour, with Clayton in Albury or Mish online.
We go through it together
We pull what the ATO already has, then ask about the parts it cannot see.
You see the number, then it goes in
You get told how it was worked out, not just what it came to. Most refunds land within two weeks of lodgement.
Questions we get asked
How much does a tax return cost?
You get the fee before the work starts, at the appointment, and it does not move afterwards. A standard individual return sits at the lower end. A rental property or a business schedule costs more because it takes longer.
I have not lodged for a few years. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is more common than you would think. Late returns are usually fixable, and the sooner they go in the better the case we can make to the ATO about any penalties.
Do I have to come into the office?
No. Mish works online only, and Clayton does both. Plenty of our Wodonga and out of town clients have never sat in the office.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. You sign one form, we ask them for your file, and they send it across. You do not have to have an awkward conversation with anyone.
When can I lodge?
From 1 July, though waiting until late July is usually smarter because your income statement, bank interest and health fund details prefill by then and there is less to chase.
Ready when you are.
Pick Clayton in Albury or Mish online, and pick a length. It takes about a minute.
